Tracy Kasper, who was the President of NAR, has resigned.
On January 8, 2024, Tracy Kasper, the President of NAR, shared that she had received a threat related to a personal matter. The threat aimed to force her to compromise her position at NAR, but she chose to report it to law enforcement instead. Feeling it was in the best interest of the organization, she decided to step down. The Leadership Team is taking measures to protect NAR's integrity.
Ms. Kasper explained, "Putting NAR's interests first has always been my priority. Due to the recent threat, I believe it's time for me to step down. This allows the Leadership Team to move forward in implementing the changes we've been working hard on. I leave knowing that our members, staff, and association are in capable hands."
NAR acknowledges Ms. Kasper's service and dedication, especially in advocating for homeownership. Kevin Sears, the President-elect, will now assume the role of NAR President immediately. NAR's efforts to strengthen the organization continue without interruption, focusing on leading the real estate industry and ensuring transparent and competitive markets for American home buyers and sellers.
